GLORY RIDGE 2008 REFERENCES

Saturday, December 13, 2008

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to give you an update on our wonderful puppy born Aug. 18, 2008 to Lexie and Huck.  We named him Sammy, but his full name could be   "Sammy the Mighty Dog".  He has no clue that he is smaller than our other dogs.  We have an almost 16 pound Shih-tzu and our daughter has two min.schnausers (16 - 20lbs).  He tangles right in the middle of the three of them as if he were the same size.  We absolutely love and adore him. He is still under 4lbs. and I'm loving that!  We are feeding him Eukanuba dry puppy food and he is doing well with that.  He is almost housebroken!  For a  few weeks now he has been going to the door and barking or scratching to go out and knows he is suppose to potty out there!  We never used potty pads.He has slept through the night (in a kennel) just a few days after we got  him.
I am a care giver and I take him to work with me along with one of the other
dogs and they love them.
I will attempt to attach a photo and you can see more in my "Our Puppies"  photo album on my fp.
Thanks for such a wonderful puppy; we recommend you to everyone we hear about that wants a shih-tzu.
Thanks to your grandchildren for doing such a wonderful job socializing.  He loves everyone he meets and loves to play on his back and get his belly rubbed!  I still look at your web page just about everyday, so much info!
May you and your family have a blessed Christmas and New Year!
Immanuel, God with us! Grace Thall

I found Karen of Glory Ridge in 1999 when I was looking for a shih tzu puppy. Since that time, I have purchased three shih tzu from her for myself and my Mother. There is not anyone who compares to Glory Ridge for offering high quality and healthy shih tzu for the pet lover. Her shih tzu are beautiful in the face and personality, and are consistent in size which I prefer her dogs over all others. They range the smaller end of the breed scale, have nice substance to their bone structure, and faces to die for. Karen has always been there for me following my purchase of 3 shih tzu from her to offer expert advice anytime I ask her opinion. She is extremely knowledgeable of shih tzu and always tells it like it is. I pray that Karen will be around for a very long time as she provides a huge blessing for someone looking for a beautiful puppy that has been bred responsibly, socialized in critical stages, and who breeds with a critical eye for improvement in conformation as well as health of her line of shih tzu. Thank you Karen for being there for me when I was "looking for love" in the way of a darling shih tzu baby x3!!!

Karen DeAngelo's line of Shih Tzus is the most magnificent I've seen! My cute pure chocolate furry puppy grew the most luxurious satin coat I've ever seen. She's about 5 years old and has never been sick a day in her life, she's show quality, I'm positive! I'd trust anything Karen says; she's a pro on this breed. Her website; is so thorough, too, which I've never seen anyone else do. It helps you learn the stages of growth as well as the feeding and training needs for this breed. Thank you, Karen!

I have been so happy with my little shitzu that I got from Karen 4 years ago. She is the sweetest, most mild mannered, and loving dog you could have hope for. You can tell that she was lovingly cared for before she came to her new home.

The quality ofthe dog is very evident. She has all the good qualities of a shitzu. I have seen many more shitzu's,but mine outshines most all that I have seen.

When I am ready for another puppy friend, Karen is the one I will call. Her breeding of dogs is the best.
Janet

I purchased a Shih Tzu pup way back in November of 1993. She is still alive today and has been a wonderful friend and companion. I am already thinking about getting a new friend from Karen if my "China" passes away. Karen is a good breeder and her dogs are very high quality.

When my daughters moved out of state, I needed something to help me through that transition. Karen sent me the new love of my life. Reggie is the best. Everybody in my community knows him and loves him. He's got great personality, beautiful stature and coat and he's the move lovable. Karen is definitely a great breeder and a great person to talk to and is always available to help when you need advise. I would highly recommend her dogs as a great pet.

Karen produces hands-down the best shih-tzu's!!! I have purchased four pups from Karen at Glory Ridge since 1999, two for myself and two as gifts for my mother. They all have FABULOUS pedigrees and are very sound and sturdy dogs. The smallest of the four weighs 6 lbs and the largest weighs 12 lbs. They have GREAT temperaments and are VERY WELL socialized. The most recent pup I purchased has been welcomed into our home of three small children (3 1/2 years, 2 years, and 2 months), Karen's socialization is truly reflected as this puppy is great with the children, even or should I say especially the baby:) If baby is crying, she will come find me in the house and gently howl to let me know the baby needs me, who needs a baby monitor when I have a Glory Ridge dog! Her pups are great and oh so smart and her customer service is WONDERFUL!!! Always willing to answer any questions, pup related or not and her knowledge and wisdom is deeper than the dogs she produces. I consider myself very fortunate to have found such a high quality breeder.

My brother bought me the best present I ever got 5 years ago. It was this beautiful little angel Shih Tzu he got from Glory Ridge. She was bright eyed and healthy and still is. I recommend to anybody to get a puppy from here. Karen and her family treat these puppies wonderful.

I bought Shih-tzu from Karen a few years ago, easy to train, very well socialized and a beautiful shih-tzu. Would recommend her to anyone that wants a quality Shih-tzu.
Her expertise in this field is amazing, have had to call once for her advice and she was right on...

We have 2 smart, gentle, sweet, adorable, healthy and absolutely wonderful pups from Glory Ridge and Karen DeAngelo. We discovered her website ~4 years ago and found the vast information invaluable. It is backed by years of experience and documentation. We would always go back to get any future Shih Tzu from Karen.

We have purchased 2 puppies from Glory Ridge Shih tzu since 2006.These puppies and their behavior is fantastic. We have a male and female that are cousins. Their personalities are different, but when it comes to breeding great shih tzus , they don't get better than this. I would never even think of buying anywhere else but from Glory Ridge. Most people buy a pet and never hear from the breeder again. Karen DeAngelo wants you to keep in touch with pictures and email. She goes out of her way to answer any question, phone call, email or letter you may write her no matter how busy she is. That is a GREAT breeder not just a money hungry breeder that won't acknowledge you after your pet leaves their place. My experience with Karen and Glory Ridge has been outstanding and there are many more Glory Ridge Shih tzus in our future.I have recommened Glory Ridge to many people who want a shih Tzu. Thanks for breeding such great lines.
